Was under the hood yesterday when I noticed a liquid stain up against the firewall. Upon close inspection it seems the pictured line is loose or broken.
I have noticed my power steering is a bit harder and noisy than normal (brand new rack). My brakes seem weak also.
The line I am pointing to is the bad line. The square shape is loose from the hex shape below it.
Is there a way to just tighten this? Is it missing an O-ring or something?

There is an neoprene oring and maybe a teflon washer that goes there.

I just replaced all of mine.
I probably documented the sizes and sources.
I will try to dig it up.

DIY using teflon tape and be done with it!!
Take the teflon washer off, clean any junk you put on there off the threads,
wrap the threads with teflon tape,
give it a couple extra wraps in the groove at the top,
install, call it a day. Don't over tighten it.

Thanks good info there, after reading through those links, I am thoroughly confused though.
haha

What is it that I need? Is it just the teflon washer? Rubber o-ring?

then take a look at the rubber oring on the end.
If it is in good shape, you could leave it on.
or just remove it and measure it with a ruler.
