Hey guys, well I have a 04 Cobra with IRS and it started making a loud clunking noise coming from the driver side rear tire.
If I start to accelerate or brake the noise goes away, but as soon as I start to let off the brakes or the gas the noise comes right back.
I was just cruising in traffic at about 5 mph when it started.

Any advice or info is appreciated.

Jack it up remove the wheels and start looking and feeling for anything loose or worn out.

I have same problem after installing H&R race springs without ISOs. Still trying to figure it out. Nothing worn out that I can see. Maybe a new set of rear shocks will fix the infamous driver side clunking noise.

Jack up the car and check the rear wheels, you may have a worn hub bearing. Look for the wheel to move side to side if its bad.

Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX while driving.

Could be something simple like the rubber bushings on the shocks. There's one on the bottom where it mounts to the control arm and the ones on top under the trunk interior panels.
