I wish you luck.

I was reading about DWB tuning this weekend and it mentioned in the Don Lasota tuning manual that the factory limits the TB opening to 80% to prevent the TB sticking. It mentions in the manual that there is little performance gain after 80% opening, and it made me think of this thread.

Oh man, that doesn't make me feel good. Mine was opening maybe 50/60%? I guess I'll know soon enough.

WOT in the DBW Shelby and Coyote cars is 82% so that makes sense.

Yeah. It’s stock long block be sides the cams.

Needless to say that way too much. I’m only looking for 750.

I currently has. A 3.2 upper and 4lb.

I’m thinking about switching to a 3.5 and stock lower. Not sure if that will be enough. I’ll have to do some research.

There are worse problems to have. But glad it's fixed.

How loud was the blower at 29psi?

Stock head bolts as well? I would have thought they would have recommended/installed head studs...

Damn dude. Shoulda brought some pulleys with you.

Might be able to get there with a 3.75 upper with that 4lb lower.

The blower was screaming. Sounded like bald eagles singing the Star Spangled Banner. I couldn’t wipe the grin off my face when I witnessed it complete a full pull.

I almost did studs but I didn’t want to disturb the gasket. I don’t plan to turn it up too much so I decided against it.

If I run into issues down the road I had always planned on changing out the heads completely with some DC heads.

This was more of a trip to confirm the issue was resolved. Mr. Kevin Dunn will be the one actually tuning it.

I’ll probably swap them out take it back to the shop and get a nice conservative tune and then Have Kevin work his magic to let her eat.
