Stock for stock an LS3 will run away from a GT500 on a frumroll. Even if it's an auto vert with the standard gears it's gonna be ugly.

115-116 is what I've seen so far stock but they get a lot faster with bolt ons. There's a guy on CF that went 119.5 in an auto car with just a cai.

My buddy has a new LS3 with auto and ran a best of 12.46@116 stock. He recently installed a K/N filter and tune only and ran a [email protected] on stock tires. This LS3 car is rated by chevy to run 190mph bone stock right off the showroom floor!

Nah. Best I've ever seen out of a stock GT500 at the same track was 113. Usually there around 110-112.

LS3, aren't they putting down 390rwhp+ stock? :rockon: The GT500 needs at least a 70rwhp advantage to make up for it's weight.

It seems some are comparing the quickest GT500 slips to what these new 08 C6s are running on average.

You are correct. I've seen a stock GT500 w/DRs run the exact same ET and trap speed. He started the morning running low 13s. By late noon he finally pulled off the 12.2@117 pass.

I think the GT500 traps a tad higher than the Vette in the 1/4, but aerodynamics, or lack of, would slow it down more if racing on the highway.
