I’m adding all new speakers to the saleen, and of course no one makes factory replacement sizes. The tweeter kits you get all require some kind of mod, and everyone I see is people super gluing the new speaker mounts into place. I personally couldn’t stand the idea of hot glue.
So I decided to buy a sheet or 1/32” abs plastic for laser cutters, trace the old factory mount and cut out my own. Because it’s 1/32” I was able to reuse the factory plastic and put the new abs plastic underneath it. That way everything bolts back up to the factory location.
Not bad for a $20 amazon purchase. I know no one will ever see the nice work. But at least it looks good.
