Magnum t56

I'm looking to pick up a t56 magnum for my car soon now they have the 2.66 first gear or 2.97 first I'm not too sure which one to go for I have 3.73 in my car with a procharger through a t45 as for which tranny I heard the 2.97 first is a wide gear? An is good for the track? I could be wrong though but I don't really race the car a once in a while I'll do a roll an dig race but mostly the car is just street driven cruiser if anyone could tell me which one is best for my needs that would be great

I bought the wide ratio (2.97 first and .50 6th) because it was closer to the T45 first gear (3.37) and had the overdrive 6th gear. I am running 4.10s and a procharger. The .50 6th is real nice on the highway.

Lots of people like the close ratio (2.66 first and .64 6th).

I stuck with the wide ratio with my '01 Cobra motor with a P1SC (with D1SC impeller) and a 3.4" pulley.
