Im pretty sure they cant go on the outer part facing the transmission as that makes for proper endplay but also makes my crankshaft counter weight rub the #5 main cap as well as the cap side thrust washer would also just fall out. So is it ok to shim the one on the inner side that faces toward the the front that is on the block side because that centers my crankshaft nicely and does not rub the main cap?
Hi all, I am new to the forum and I am in need of some help. Forgive me if I am posting in the wrong area but I have a boss 5.0 block from MMR and the 4.75 stroker kit. My problem is that I know how to install the 3 piece thrust washer bearing but my crankshaft endplay is about .050 too much. MMR supplied 3 shims that measure .050 thick but I don't know where to place them. Obviously I can only use the shim(s) on 1 side as 1 on each side would make .100 which is too much. Any help would be much appreciated...Thank you!
