manual trans swap?

has anyone ever heard of anyone swaping out the auto for a manual shift transmision. ive thought about doing but dont know where to start. probably wouldn't be doing it for a while but was just wondering if anyone had any knowledge on this subject. thanks in advance.

i remember reading that some one on NLOC did it somes years back... it's a cool idea but probably a pain installing and getting it to work right.

yea i did a search over there and found a thread about it. i think its an awsome idea and something i would really want to do in the future when i have the time and the money
