Any of you guys try it?

Did it work for what ails ya?

The recreational side seems to make a mockery of it being a legitimate medication.

I wss surprised at the overwhelming support it got in Florida.

I have tried it for pain and ptsd but it works best for sleep. Good part is no dreams.

Backed off recently as I was getting into the paranoia side. The best I found is 1 to 1 ratio of thc to cbd. The straight stuff just knocks me on my ass.

Been to a few cannabis sites but it is packed with teenagers trying to get a source. Blah.

Mods, when this site started is was mostly an illegal substance but if it is still forbidden please delete.

Side effect profile MUCH BETTER than opioids or benzodiazepines BUT until the Federal gov/FDA lifts the laughable schedule one classification, research will be severely compromised.

Which side effects?

The warning labels look like any schedule 1 drug which surprised me. Most of the articles i read touted mmj's natural healing with minimal side effects.

Lot of federal workers and truck driver's still prohibited.

Yes, it works! I will admit I didn't really believe in the medical part myself when I was younger and just partook for the fun of it lol. But I can say without a doubt it saved my best friend. Short story follows.

My best friend growing up always had bad migraines. (runs in his family) As we got to Sr. year in high school they started to become unbearable for him. My friend who was normally out going, talkative, and always wanted to go out and do something slowly turned into a recluse. He stopped going to hang out with friends, stopped doing sports, became irritable, broke up with GF etc.... I was the only person after about 6 months who still wanted to hang out with him. I would show up to his parents house and he would be chilling in his room or living room with all the blinds shut, sunglasses on and we both had to speak softly. Fast forward the next year when we had both started at different colleges his grades were suffering immensely and it was not for going out and partying. (something like a 2.0gpa) By this point parents taken him to EVERY possible specialist for migraine/cluster migraines. In the end they gave him two choices, pain killers, or a device that's similar to what they give Parkinson's patient where they hook up wires to you and it "scrambles" a signal in your head. Obviously the pain killers were the easier less invasive choice. They worked fantastic for about 6 months. Then they had to up his dosage because it was no longer effective. This cycle repeated for about a year and then his grades started to decline again, as the pain killers were no longer working. His body had built a tolerance to them. So back to the Mayo clinic they went! The doctors said we have to take you off the pan killers for awhile because your can't take a higher dosage. So with no pain killers for several months he had to drop out of school as the migraines were to much for him. A few months later he started smoking with a friend from highschool that didn't go to college. (classic stoner bum) Quickly he noticed that after smoking he would be fine for most of the day. So he smoked illegally for a few months and his parents obviously started to notice his health had improved and were more or less "hey, you're migraines are gone! Go back to school or get a job!". He told his parent what he had been doing and they were pretty pissed at first but ended up coming to terms with it. His parents eventually came around and helped him get a proper medical card. Fast forward to fall my friend just graduated from a top law school and married his gf of four years and are about to buy their first house.

I edited it should say MUCH BETTER, really meaning it's SAFER than many traditional mods for pain and/or anxiety.

Good for him!

Because i have some younger kids I do the oral route (jokes coming). I freeze that capsules so i can cut them in thirds because one capsule is too much.

The intensity of my dreams began to interfere with sleep and scare my wife.

Given the injuries you haven mentioned on this site, cannabis is a potentially beneficial medicine. Dose carefully and consistently.

Try something like white widow and keep CBD pills to keep the paranoia in check.

If it works for you, there are not unintended consequences more power to you.

BTW, I’ve heard that the VA has been known to end traditional treatment if you test positive. That information is a couple years old, so don’t take it on face value.

CBD is such a good anti inflammatory, it's a shame its not legal nationwide.
You can get legal CBD in all states if I'm not mistaken, depends on the type.

@DaleM
Not a user of weed or anything, (never saw the appeal) but ordered some CBD oil (no THC content) couple months back. Lifting has amped up the pain in both knees, and a shoulder that's pretty jacked up. Took a few days for it to load in my system (dropper full in morning and at night), noticed a big decrease in inflammation which was causing the pain. Ran out and had a good amount of pain return within a week. Need to order more. Would recommend the stuff I use. Most days are pretty physical, so I can't have any kind of mental impairment. The straight CBD doesn't mess with mental function, and never feel sleepy.

VA has a policy out to clarify. They will not deny any services. The docs just are not allowed to recommend or prescribe.

Of all people, mitch McConnell wants to remove hemp from the controlled substance act.

Mitchs home state used to be covered in hemp. His state would benefit from hemps change in status.

Just had a guy test positive in my Police Department. He has his medical Marijuana card. They suspended him for 30 days as they would for anyone that failed a drug test.

This is gonna get interesting. His doctor gave him a legal prescription which is backed by the state of Connecticut who oversees all the dispensaries and sets the rules and regulations for them.

The dept. says its still illegally federally so thats what their hanging their hat on. I see this going all the up to the high courts. It says very clearly in their state of CT bylaws that u CANNOT be fired from ur job for testing positive so I look forward to seeing where this goes.....

The state is the one that rules on labor law cases so if he gets fired he will appeal at the state labor board and they will have to either abide by their own rules or violate them.

There is nothing in their bylaws that excludes anyone based on their profession.

That's why I have no desire. Most fire departments require 3+ years of no use.

The problem is its no longer considered illegal by state standards. Its no different then having a script for Vicodin. And no piss test u take is gonna tell anyone WHEN the person was medicated.

Considering marijuana stays in ur system up to 85 years no test is gonna indicate that the person was "Under the influence" while at work.

That's why I have no desire. Most fire departments require 3+ years of no use.
