I went to install my Metco alternator pulley onto my alternator and the spacer fits on the shaft first and rides on the machined shoulder. The spacer and shoulder are the same length. When I put the pulley on; the ID of the pulley rides on the threaded part of the alternator shaft.

My problem is the threaded part of the shaft is smaller than the ID of the pulley, so the pulley won't spin exactly concentric. It will be out of round since it has nothing other than the threaded part of the shaft to keep it spinning true.

I called Metco to ask their Tech; but they are closed for a NMRA race and won't be back open till next week :bored:
