So what you are saying is go with a drag radial? What about the Mickey Thompson ss? I do not want rocks flying up on my car. I was considering a drag radial but I don't drive this car much. My 2003 Z06 Box Stock with my friends bald 275 drag radials ran a 11.6 at 121 mph launching at 5500 and slipping the clutch , Traction is everything!

Tire Rack just emailed me saying the PS4 won't be available in 295/35/20 and 275/40/19 during 2017.

With this news I will need to make up my mind and go with the New PS4 in a 305/30/20 rear (on the short side) and a 275/35/20 front or the regular pilot SS in a 295/35/20 rear (closer to stock height) Or go with a drag radial but I don't want any rocks flying of my Shelby!

I did MPSS in a 295/35/20 105Y K1 Ferrari spec on an 11" rim and had the death wobble above 80 mph. I went to Nitto Invo and very pleased.

Nitto NT555R 305/35r20 drag radials are a great tire for street driving in my opinion. They honestly don't handle "that" bad but hook much better than a typical summer street radial.

I had more rocks on my stock tires. I run Jaeger bros front rock guards and Roush side splitters. Jaegers for protection, Roush for protection and looks.
Anyway, yes, definitely go with the 555R drag radials. Much better as a street tire than the MT and much better traction than any Michelin street tire. Like you said, you want to feel the power, you rarely drive it and never in rain.
555Rs in 305/35/20s and thank us later, don't over think it.

Just for anyone interested a few places already have the PS4S available in stock sizes upfront. I called Michelin and they said they're OEM on Mercedes so they may be scarce but they are in production.

I cant take it any longer. Guess I will wait til next year. Pulling the trigger on ExtremeContact Sport Plus.
I did the extreme contact sports, great tire. No more death wobble, less vertical motion, great traction, the GT00 suspension and the MPSS just don't play well IMO.

I thought that was BS until I experienced the wobble with wide Ferrari spec Pirelli 305/35/20 on 10.5" wheels on my Hellcat. Weirdest damn feeling over 80mph.

Good news, I'm patiently waiting, got the rears. It was announced today, 2018 5.0 will come with those from the plant.
