What a nightmare. You did a good job of describing your experience. A lot of gut wrenching moments in that story. It's so damn hard to get people to apply personal accountability when it's not their property.
I have experienced disappointment in other ways from shops and people just don't give a damn sometimes. Like you said it doesn't matter how reputable they are. Their "bros" always talk them up but when it comes time to put out results when you need the person you become that 1 in 10,000 people who gets their car f'd up but the other 9,999 people who got good service somehow makes it right?
I haven't read the follow up about this but I hope it's all taken care of to whatever extent it can be.
