At least the Niners are making strides at becoming a 'decent' team. Remember that the Cardinals are the highest scoring offense. Was rooting for the 49'ers, but man their quarterback needs some more seat-time being a starter.

What a pathetic, ugly game.

If you are a SF or Arizona fan, you have my condolences.

it was a nail biter, not your typical new england vs. indy game, but it was great. i'm a huge 49ers fan and i felt like i watched a whole new team. they lost, but put up a good fight against a far superior team.

go 49ers! with you through it all!

True fan right there. I tell you what I've been through some ugly stuff with my cowboys here lately. Hopefully they have their stuff together this weekend. They had way more problems than just a crappy backup QB

I had tears in my eyes after watching that game, I cant believe that last 40 seconds. Mike Martz you are dead to me.

gotta give him credit for backing up and letting the run control the game. The last play wasn't the best decision but there were 4 seconds on the clock with no timeouts. it was a rapid decision. i'm just glad vernon davis showed some light today, dead weight is not fun to carry around.

Here's the thing, the pass was working all the way up to the goal line, they had 40 seconds, and wasted 20 of it before that play. I don't understand giving it to Michael Robinson on a dive play. They ran a simliar play right before that with Frank Gore, but he bounced to the outside when there was nothing there. What made Martz call a similar play again? Arizona was stuffing the run up the middle all day long, they continuously got pressure directly up the middle all game long, and ask yourself this, when was the last time you've seen a short yardage play up the middle that has worked for the 49ers? I honestly can't think of one, they have been terrible at short yardage. Martz the brilliant coordinator cant call the right play when it matters the most.

Vernon Davis made the play, yah, except for every thing he does he negates it with a ridiculous play, hes dumb, and is everything the 49ers don't need.

I give the niners props for playing better, this was thy re game and didn't come through. Niners lagged it way to much at the very end.
