NICE MAN. Get a ****in video of that beast. I must say thats quite the transition, but some reason i really dont like the sn95 dash. Ya i know the fox body dash was designed by those who did Tetris, but it just fits the car better. Regardless that is awesome what you've done. post some outside shots also.

dash cut

I think the big thing about replacing the dash is getting the guts to start cutting and customizing things. Once you start cutting it is difficult to go turn back.

basic steps:

1.remove the fox dash and heater box
2. replace fox heater box with a sn95 heater box
3.Cutting that dash it easy (i used a jig saw). You take about 3 inches off all the way around behind the window... like so:

3.5 cut the flaps on the R and L side of the dash. This narrows the dash by a few inches... just enough to fit the fox.
4. create some customer brackets (not hard- I just used bolts and brackets.. no welder required).. hell even some bolts fit directly without special brackets:

5.The wiring will be the biggest headache. My setup was easy cuase I used all my modular harness... if you have a 5.0 engine and you are using the 5.0 gauges then you will need to custom install your old gauges into the new dash. (I have seen it done and it doesn't look bad at all)... I have not seen anyone yet tried to use the new gauges with the old engine/harness. (not sure if its possible - or worth the time)

All in all... take your time and make sure the dash is solid enough to sit on!

seats

looking at aftermark bucket seats with 5pt harness. I don't have the funds for everything this year so I might use seat covers to get me by for now.

yep

Yea, the hard part is done. The detailing is what your looking for. - silver shift knobs, chrome intake , stickers, seats that say "mustang", etc... It will be there soon...

But first I need to focus on structure and the heart. Whats the point of having a car that looks fast but isn't?? - little stuff can wait

that is an awesome project! Cheap insurance as well lol. I also don't care much for the sn95 dash but it's cool that you converted it I guess.
