I was told by a seller that a moonroof motor assembly needing replacement is a very common contour problem. Is this true? I haven't found this in my searches yet. Thanks

It is a common problem. The plastic motor gear melts on hot days. You'll know if its going bad when it starts grinding.

Simple fix is NEVER leave it full up.

Also you can adjust the motor position so it doesn't bind the cables at full up.

I had countless motors replaced in the first year.

Did the motor reposition and never leave it bound at full open when it's hot and (knock on wood) 4 years later it still works like a charm...

while were on the topics of moonroofs, I just bought my used csvt and found out why my moonroof doesn't work, I don't even have a motor! so how much they cost and were the best place to get one.
