MSD digital shift light 8963 signal wire??

Ok Guys,

Im installing an MSD Digital Shiftlight....Since MSD doesnt give real good instructions, I followed the Raptor Shiftlight installation instructions. I connected everything how it says but the shiftlight wont read the RPM's. I spliced into pin26 wire on the PCM harness (light green/white) for the signal and it wont pick up.... which wire have yall tapped into to receive the RPM signal?

you shouldnt havew spliced the pin 26 ignition wire. The msd 8963 shift light has a GMR tach signal pickup wire that just wraps around the pin 26 wire coming out of the PCM(passenger side). The gmr pickup wire end does not splice in but rather just clamps around the wire by tightening the little screw on the GMR pickup wire end. Patch your pin 26 wire and just clamp the GMR pickup around it.

Yup, pin #26 is coil #1, it's a lg/wh wire. Below are the pin outs for reference.
