I just installed some MT 295 45 17, on a stock height, 10.5 AFS Let me know if it looks better then the before pic which is a 315 nitto.

I think it fills the well a little more

Before 315 nitto

after MT 295

deff fills the gap better, however that car still needs around a 1" drop all around imo. how do you like the traction difference? also i'm assuming the 295 is prolly just as wide as the old 315 huh?

the 295 ET Street II is a good tire, car Must be hooking on the street better now?

For sure, last night it was in the low 70, with the nittos from a role when I mashed the gas in 1st it would spin.
I couldn't spin the MT's under the same condition.

Keep in mind intake and exhaust car

That's what I was trying to avoid.....lowering, it is on this list to do.

It's a little narrower then the 315. I could easily stuff another 1" worth of width under there, but there's not much available in a 45.

I could be mistaken but by increasing you tire height from 25.6 stock to 27.4 you effectively you reduce your 3.55 gearing to something less than 3.31.

In addition to a sticker tire, the taller effective gear could also contribute to the lack of wheel spin in low gears. Again just a guess.

They look good!

all true. I run a 315/35/18 26.3" tire and it hooks MUCH better than a 315/30/18, for both the reasons you listed plus the fact the unsprung weight goes up due to the heavier tire/larger sidewall. when the tires are new and temps are above 70....it controls 650rwtq much better than one would think.

I didn't consider that, but you maybe right.

Also would it affect the ABS, I noticed that when hard breaking with the TC off the abs kicked in....funny i just don't recall that ever happening, or I'm loosing my mind

Great point, which is also why many people go to a 3.73 or 4.10 when going to a taller rear tire.
