[QUOTE="jhwalker, post: 598715, member: 6964"] It feels great to know they will not be rubbing your number out after a good run. There is enough to think about when running the 1/4 -- remembering to SLOW DOWN or DON"T SHIFT TO 4th adds toos many things to the process. They had started warning me the last time I was there. You can only say 'Oops my bad!' so many times before they say :cuss: :nono: :burn: As PModdie said, once we got in the 12's they pulled the rule book and started checking out my roll bar in detail. I have to get the crossbar before the next time I go there. I was declared illegal and was being tossed before the head tech stepped in and suggested that the inspector be a little friggin reasonable. On the Ford vs Chebby -- In my opinion they kicked our butts. Four of the fastest Fords red-lighted back to back, by less than .005 seconds, and then ran great runs -- for nothing. :loser: It was like a disease got us. In brackets, I dialed at 12.97 ET for the bracket racing, then hooked for the first time and broke out with a 12.83 -- the Chebby broke out too, but only by .10 second so he went on. :loser: All good fun of course...
