What did its GM competitor run? I know there was a big debate if it could beat out the 1LE.
Just checked the Mustang GT PP2 is under 1 sec slower than the current SS 1LE (gen 6 camaro). What car are you talking about?
Yeah I think the 1LE is going to be a touch faster.Just checked the Mustang GT PP2 is under 1 sec slower than the current SS 1LE (gen 6 camaro).
Which as people like to point out on here, is an eternity. Particularly over a 10 lap or 20 minute sessionJust checked the Mustang GT PP2 is under 1 sec slower than the current SS 1LE (gen 6 camaro).
Too bad you’ll only get a few laps in the PP2 as Ford decided not to give it any coolers to keep it from taking GT350 sales.
Considering it's still over 2 seconds slower than a 350R in both this and the C&D LL competition I'd say it's not much of a threat regardless. I honestly expected the times to be a little closer with all the PP2 suspension changes.
Big price difference between a PP2 and a GT350R which sees an ADM at least in this part of the US.
What's the time difference between a non R GT350 and the PP?
Think big reg was talking about the GT350, not the 350R.
Did they do a same day, same driver test of the Z28 and the 1LE?At Chuckwalla the non R was over a second slower than the Gen 5 Z/28 while the R was just about a second faster when Ford themselves did testing. The R was over 2 seconds faster than the non R
GM claims the SS 1LE was on par with the non R on any track. The SS 1LE was faster than the Gen 5 Z/28 at Laguna Seca. Hence Ford protecting the non R by hamstringing the PP2
