ZR1 ran 1 sec slower 1:32.46 than the ACR they tested 2 years ago. Also, 720s ran a 1:29.78.

GT2RS is the new Laguna Seca king. I can only imagine a faster time if Porsche did a record attempt.

The GT2RS running a 1:28.3 is just nuts. Especially considering it's almost 700hp though just the rear wheels. Would like to have seen the Ford GT run this event for comparison.

Its crazy to think what a Viper TA would run on equivalent tires. It runs the 1.33 time with Corsa tires. The top of the line Pirelli tire is Trofeo R which is competition with the Michelin Cup 2.

The last GT500 ran a 1:38.7 which really illustrates how much HP comes into play here. So should be interesting to see how the next GT500 does assuming it's not a complete porker.

The 2017 SS1LE ran a 1:37.78 lap. Don't know if they have made any non-cosmetic changes in 2018.

Too bad you’ll only get a few laps in the PP2 as Ford decided not to give it any coolers to keep it from taking GT350 sales.

Considering it's still over 2 seconds slower than a 350R in both this and the C&D LL competition I'd say it's not much of a threat regardless. I honestly expected the times to be a little closer with all the PP2 suspension changes.

Big price difference between a PP2 and a GT350R which sees an ADM at least in this part of the US.

What's the time difference between a non R GT350 and the PP?

Think big reg was talking about the GT350, not the 350R.

At Chuckwalla the non R was over a second slower than the Gen 5 Z/28 while the R was just about a second faster when Ford themselves did testing. The R was over 2 seconds faster than the non R

GM claims the SS 1LE was on par with the non R on any track. The SS 1LE was faster than the Gen 5 Z/28 at Laguna Seca. Hence Ford protecting the non R by hamstringing the PP2

Did they do a same day, same driver test of the Z28 and the 1LE?
