Latemodelrestoration.com has the kit. There is a thread about it on here and there is a video on youtube as well.

OP. The car looks beautiful! Job well done! Can we hear the exhaust?? :)

You have to remove the top/side clips of the hood insulation, remove screws holding it in place and pinch the clips holding it in place from the underside and pull from the top....windshield end towards the front bumper (3 in all).

Like mentioned LMR shows u how. On the back of our bumpers there are markings already on the bumper showing were to cut.

I took my insulation out the first day I had the car, I saw the one nut holding the windshield end of the vent on but nothing else except those (what look to be) clips that would secure it to the hood I think? I will have to look again tonight when I get home.

Why remove the hood insulation?

Why remove the hood insulation?

easier to extract heat when the insulation isnt covering the bottom side of the extractors.. I have read about guys just cutting it for the same reason, but then also having problems with water getting running onto the CAI if it gets driven in the rain.. My car doesnt see rain, so I just removed the entire piece of insulation.

Still running the stock intake, but I just left the first 2 covered to still "drain" the water a bit.
