Easy fix. Dont know what your deductible is but I would probably write that for 4-5hrs. Could be done for $500 at a bare minimum price but insurance would likely come out to around $650-700. Dont need to blend with that black so it is easy.

What kind of car is it? A new fender, even used, is going to cost at least $100 if they have one available. 100 bucks plus 300 to paint, and then another 150 to install and do all of the other finishing procedures. I would just fix it.

Take the money and run, it’s a battle scar.

Quoted so the best advice isn't the last post.

Or take the money and wait for a used fender the same color. Or pop and buff it, then live with the minor dents left.

Take his money, drive around with an ugly dent until you find a fender for dirt cheap. Then fix it yourself if the time comes. Imo it's not worth the hassel. Guy made a mistake owned up to it and did the right thing.

2009 ford focus, he doesnt seem to want to give me money to repair it when I talked to him. He wanted me to go to his guy. Honestly i can fix it, the front bumper was messed up when I bought it, I bought the primer/paint/clear so I could do it myself and fixed the front. Its just the hassle and the fact that he did it so im not paying for his screw up. I dont care how he does it just make it right and fix your mistake.

Only because you said it's your "beater", call a Junkyard, get a fender, have it sprayed and have him pay you what it cost.

That’s all I want, his body guy said we could spray the fender and then you can drop it off to put it on. I just hope he doesn’t think it’s too much and doesn’t want to pay.

Sucks for him. You get to decide who fixes it, not him. Tell himpay you or see you in court.

My normal insurance rate estimate came out to $672 so that is what he should be paying you basically. A new fender lists for $194.73 which brings the price up to $782.46. If his guy is a legit shop then I would say let him do it but tell them you expect it to be pretty much perfect. Otherwise, take it where you want it and have him pay the shop the cost to fix it.

Worse comes to worse, small claims court

Not even worth the headache for small claims. Just because you get the W doesn't mean you get the coin. At lease in poo state. Then its up to the plaintiff to collect by there own means like a lean or collections.

I'm sure the chowda heads know people who are good at collecting. I agree it would be a hassle

His body shop said to bring it Friday that they would paint a new fender and put it on. They said they guy who hit me was paying no problem. We will see how it looks. They are a geico authorized shop and the reviews on yelp and other places were very high. I’ll report back Friday.
