Well i have not been on here in awhile and wanting to start a build thread on my cobra i purchased last year with 4800 original miles. It was a roller that the owner had a blown motor and never got around to fixing it (bought it from a member on this site)

The build consist of a whole new car basically.

Motor built only reusing crank and rods, Arp 2000 hardware, ported heads/bronze guides and comp stage 2 blower cams, tss oil pump, Manley platinum 9.1.1 coated pistons, ati balancer metco hub

Whipple 3.4 with Hpp modified inlet 3.5 upper/2lb lower for now

Blow proof McLeod bell housing, Spec super twin billet clutch and a Magnum T56

Fore rails, hat and twin 465 pumps with deatsch werks 100lbs injectors

Cobra engineering coolant intake adapter, dual pass intercooler, and heat exchanger/dual 8in fans with a chiseled performance 5 gallon tank in trunk. Also put meziere waterpump and mishmoto radiator.

Alcohol injection systems truck mount meth setup dual nozzle.

mechman 170 amp billet alternator (still need a good battery)

Front suspension is maximum motorsports Kmember/a arms and steering shaft, Strange single adjustable coil over shocks with maximum caster plates.

Rear suspension is Teamz 9in (picking up this weekend) aluminum center/35spline 3.70 gear, Strange double adjustable coil overs/ rear shock tower bar

Wheels for now weld 17x4 black alumstars and rear weld rts beadlocked (waiting on them to show up).

Also did the torque boxes, stifflers fit system and scott rod inner panels

Missing a lot I'm sure but my plans are simple, build a clean car i can enjoy on nice days and few track days. Hope to be mid 9s and whatever power it makes I'm cool with. Here's a few photos of my process so far and hope to be on dyno this spring

wow that's a hell of a build! Love the engine bay with those panels in and painted. That does so much under the hood of the cars. I'm assuming you're also going to wire tuck/battery relocate? What are your power goals?

also notched the passenger strut tower for intake clearance if you noticed, look at the one picture of the side of car and you can see the fuse mounted on inner fender.

Ah yes I see it now. that things gonna look amazing. 900 shouldn't be a problem. If you ever make it to Milan or any car shows in southeast michigan let me know I'd love to check that thing out.

Yes neck was made and an fittings welded on. No hose clamps on this car.

I go to woodward dream cruise ever year, hope to have this car there this year. I'm rolling up this weekend to teamz and grabbing housing

Awesome build!!!

Most people run the caged stock lower so they don't snap the end of the crank off with the 2.9's and 3.4 Whipples.

Good luck can't wait to see it finished

Thanks, I'm hoping it last a bit with just a 2lb lower. It is double keyed and arp hardware. I got talked out of actually putting stud in it, wish I would have but past that now.
