Sorry for the pics they were all taken from my phone.

Bought a 97 Cobra with a Vortech v-1 on it, previous owner said that the engine was send to a performance shop in Canada to have the engine built and he said it had an upgraded transmission (not going to count on the engine or tranny). The car was running about 5psi on the v-1. It has 4.10 gears, exhaust, other bolt ons and some suspension mods. Got it with Eibach springs on it, so it wasn't very low so decided to get some h&r springs and lowered it another inch or so.

After that, ditched the old shitty tires on it and bought some 315/35/17 Nitto 555r's and got new headlights.

After driving it a while, I decided that the v-1 just wasn't doing it for me so I found a d1sc kit with a 3 core FMIC for sale on SVTP. Arrived in about a week but it was missing quite a few components so I had to order the missing pieces. Also ordered 60# injectors and an Aeromotive 340lph fuel pump.

started taking the Vortech off and got the upper intake manifold off. Taking off the old blue top 24#'ers.

got the vortech and the intake manifold off and found some dirty ass IMRC's and the whole intake could use a cleaning. So took it all apart and cleaned it up a bit

I am going to finish the intercooler piping when my new 3.5" couplers get here along with the tbolts. Going to start mounting the front bumper and putting the lights back in on Friday. Will update then.

Nice looking build! Did SHM build the engine? Looks like it had oem 24lb injectors not 42's. What kind of power did it make with the V1?

May want to find that out before pushing 15psi

I have tried everything I can without actually disassembling the engine. Tried contacting Sean Hyland with no luck. Attempted to trace down the previous owner who had it built (carfax shows at 30k the full drivetrain was replaced). I am aware of the risk I am taking.

Fuel pump was around 150 I want to say.

started it for the first time using a start up tune I got from Heartland Speed Shop (local here in Omaha). Running extremely rich (need to adjust FPR) but it runs and moved itself into the garage under it's own power. She goes on the rollers next Wednesday.

Not sure if the blower sounds really weird or if it just the idle. Going in tomorrow to talk to the tuner and see what he thinks.

Not sure on the power. It wasn't too impressive on 5psi. Beat a 50 trim str4 on 25psi and e85.

If you did that neon had major issues. I had a 50 trim srt4 and I was pulling on ported and pulled termis. Cause a corn fueled 50 trim is pulling about 450_475 to the wheels.
