Got some good seat time today and thought I would share my thoughts so far.
PER the owners manual, I adhered to the "100 mile break in"
I fumbled around with buttons on the steering wheel trying to make screen adjustments.
Didn't even notice the cobra head on the right side of the steering wheel, until I went back watched a SpeedPhenom video. ( why would I bother to look in the owners manual )
After learning the tricks, I was able to change my dash/screen layout to how I wanted it, ie. BOOST,IAT, and A/F on the center screen. VERY ExCITING.
After the 100 mile mark, I toggled the switch to track mode, and the entire dash came to life, as if I had just won on the slots machines. Car downshifted and I gave it hell.
Its was about 92 out with at least 90% humidity. The car did not care, it reacted instantaneously and the exhaust screamed with determination and anger.
The shifts are crisp as hell (one more gear would have been awesome"er") and the car is super responsive. As I approached the off ramp, I did not lift. The car stayed planted and I had a vision in my head that I was in a go kart on the final lap. I found the suspension to be nice in sport mode, and normal mode. Track mode, will jolt you a little more. The Recaro seats are comfy, but do start to get to your hips (in my 40's) but overall not bad. Overall I am excited to drive it again, and hats off to Ford for getting the stance right, as well as the exhaust.
I am not excited about the amount of pebbles and debris that is kicked into the side skirts while driving. A removable plug would be ideal, for regular street driving.
More feedback to follow in the coming months!
