here is a pretty cool video of where I work. it's a small machine shop in Wichita Kansas. we are well known for our quality And tight tolerances. that's my fat ass from 3:42 to 4:22. it's not my dream job but it pays the bills and I have fun doing it so I can't complain

Good to see stuff like this still made in America. My dad is a Machinist, I took the electrical route.

Yeah We Get Stuff From Mexico And China And Have T Fix It. It Would Just Be Chaeper If. Me Made It In The First And Didnt Have To Rework It!

That's awesome.

A lot of components I design require incredibly close tolerances [+/- .0005"] and it really amazes me how you guys [machinists] can actually hit that... it's really amazing. Loved the video!

since I'm a metal former my tolerance isn't quite that tight. we get +/- .030" for straights and 1/4Degree for angles

I'm jealous, you have a great job, with what looks like a great company to work for.

they certainly do treat is pretty doggone well! since its employee owned the profits come right back to us.

Very nice! We make parts for half of the company's in the videos.

We do work for around 800 different companies
