Hello everyone! I've been in the market for an sn95 cobra for a while and need some help on determining what price I should pay. I've seen 98's listed for $11,500 with 57,000 miles, and 96's listed for $11,000 with 70,000 miles. I've also seen 97's listed for $14,000 with around 50,000 miles. As you can see, prices are all over the place in correlation with year and mileage and apparently Kelley blue book values don't matter to sellers . I am located in California. What would be the max amount to pay for model in general?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, like you said pricing is all over the place on these cars. Once you get into this age of car, ~20 years old, I think it becomes more about the condition of the car and how much someone is willing to pay than what KBB says.

FWIW, I paid right around $11,500 for my '97 with 23,000 miles on it (I think the asking price was $12,999). That was in 2014. It was the color combo I was looking for and was in good shape with low miles, so what was worth the money to me might have been overpriced for what someone else wanted.

I took a quick look on Autotrader to see what the asking prices are:
$5,000-$8,000 seem to have 85,000+ miles
$8,000-$10,000 seem to be 60,000-85,000 miles
$10,000-$13,000 seem to be 30,000-60,000 miles
$13,000+ are probably under 30,000 miles

Obviously, there is going to be some overlap with someone wanting $12,000 for a 100,000 mile car or someone wanting $9,000 for a low mile car. Some colors, Mystic primarily, will bring more money (provided the paint is in good shape). You also might be able to haggle a bit more now with winter coming, pending on what part of the country you are in. If you're looking to spend over $10,000, I would try to find the car with the lowest miles and in the best shape.

I agree. I live in California so from what I've seen, prices naturally run a little higher that those you listed above. Also, I have been looking for a few months are their hasn't been much selection. I came across one other that I went to go and see in person. It was a 98 BAB with 57k miles; the owner wanted $11500. I was lucky enough to find this one. Let me know what you think.
