So I'm looking into buying my buddies 03. It's a full bolt on, steggy stage 4 port and nitrous car. Has a teksid block with stock crank and rods and aftermarket manley pistons.
He noticed the blower making a funny noise and the car was down about 40hp on the dyno so he did a leak down test. 6 cylinders were between 5-7% but two were 19%. Pulled the blower last night and the rotors were making contact which would obviously cause the loss in power.
I've talked to a buddy that builds 4v's and said the same 19% happened on his as well but he tore it down and found no problem.
Should I be worried about the leak down on the engine at 19% or is that not really a big deal?
