So, I'm replacing my alternator tomorrow and want some info from those who have done it before. I have the Haynes manual for the regular non-supercharged Triton V8 F150, so it will give me most of my info, but what special instructions for the Lightning do i need to know (other than taking the s/c belt off)? Do I need to remove my stock idler pulley bracket to replace the alternator?
Also, I searched, but didn't find anything.
Thanks,
-Joshua

+1..The idler bracket needs to come off..you may want to unbolt (not remove) the SC reservoir tank so that you can maneuver it to the side and have more clearance.

yep, idler bracket has to come off. The only hard part of this swap really is getting the accesory belt back on. The tensioner seems to have about 200lbs of force on it. :rollseyes
