So I am looking for a new DD. It needs to be a 4 door automatic with some speed (doesn't have to be crazy), that I can get for under $25k with less than 45,000 miles. I am currently looking at:

1) Acura TL Type-S

2) Lexus IS 350

3) Pontiac G8 GT (hard to find at this price?)

4) Others ideas?

I voted other. 4 door 335i's are sexy and faster than the cars posted above. There priced right at your range too. I found many for 22-25k with 40-47k miles. Its more expensive than the other options but i think its well worth it. Since you can get one with many options at that price.

I myself is looking for a new DD. Im going to be moving to some wet areas and cant afford my terminator as my daily. An e46 m3 is on my list but only if i find the exact one i want.

Get the TL, my sister has an 06 6 speed, has the regular engine with Brembos and a limited slip. Not fast, but enough power and would probably be significantly cheaper than a type S (only giving up 30 hp or so). The 335 would be great but maintenance and repairs have always steered my clear of BMW.

Mazdaspeed3...that's my DD and it is quick as hell. 3,000#'s and turbo'd. I average 28.5mpg and I have a couple mods on the thing and it's about 285whp/324wtq. Such a fun car!

I have a regular TL as a daily. It's a nice car and has plenty of power for what it is. Take a look at G35/37. I like those a lot.

IS350 looks the best out of the 3 IMO and are decently quick. You could get a used one with 40-30k miles for low/mid 20's. Although the G8 has the power. Also as someone mentioned, the MazdaSpeed 3 is a nice little car.

I just got a Mazda Speed6 with some work done to her. Pretty damn quick, AWD and gets 28mpg on the highway when you stay out of boost. Feels ROCK solid; 100 in this thing feels WAY better then 100 in the Cobra. I am a person that goes through cars like underwear especially dd's and I love this thing. Oh yea and I paid $14,500 with only 30k miles on it and a 100k warranty good till 2013. Numbers below are whp. It's a 6 speed manual though.
