So I am Moving out from my parents house for the first time. Going off to school... Im moving out of state and on my own for the first time. I have a little money saved but any advice on moving out for the first time? I am almost positive I have all my bases coverd but just checking... So advice is well welcomed.

Always keep a savings account with enough money to cover you in case of emergencies, dont party too hard, and focus on school. Funny that Im telling you this as Im only 18 myself...anyway, have fun, dont get into too much trouble, and save some money to put down on a house either after or during college.
Always keep a stash in your account find a good limit and say this is as low as it gets. Make sure you do good in school but at the same time Have fun. you are only this age once so don't blow it studing and worring all the time. Just relax and have fun.
minimize the partying. Always save money even after you start to stabalize.
eat free breakfasts at local hotels (vary your pattern) when times get tough.

Don't join any fraternity's you can make friends on your own, not that frats are horrible but they take up all of your time...Always make sure you have enough money for books, and don't hit the bong too hard, swallow some water and start to choke, spilling water from your mouth out onto the carpet, cause you'll look like a complete jackass....Haha there's always "that kid"
Yes, take as little stuff as you can with you to college. I mean the bare minimum. Paying for storage and moving it all around in the summer sucks. Freshman girls are the easiest but make sure you wrap it up. If you don't, use a fake name and give here the wrong phone number. Never bong tequila and acquire a taste for Natural Light (I find it delicious). And I can't stress this enough, find a local diner!!!! They have awesome and dirt cheap breakfast food which is universally accepted as the best drunk food ever. Develop a routine that you stick to based on restaurant specials (for me its $4 Calzones on Tuesday, Pluckers for $.30 wings Wednesday and 1/2 price appetizers at The Caterie on Friday) Never bang your best friends ex even if he gives you "the go ahead". Always keep your school work organized and don't procrastinate. Lastly and most importantly, DON'T GET A GIRLFRIEND IN COLLEGE!!!!!!!!! Live by that rule.

Make sure to PIIHB often.
Don't buy clothes on a college budget. Find the mac and cheese deals. Smoking will drain your money. If you must drink, settle for the cheap stuff. Before your semester/quarter starts, get to your bookstore early and buy used books. Buy condoms at costco. Buy toiletries at the $1 store. Don't bring too much stuff with you on your initial move. When it's time to move out you will thank me. Watch out for internet porn. Download movies versus going to the theatre. And, have fun because it will be the best time of your life.
Shit, get condoms for free at the student health clinic or planned parenthood! Use your meal plan to its fullest and bring a book bag to the cafeteria

Be up front with them and be honest and you'll get better results (this is one for life 2 people)
