Alright, so about a month ago, my wife got in a fender bender. A 19 year old kid tapped the rear bumper of her 2012 Mustang. The kid didn't run or anything but he didn't have his insurance card on him. Apparently, he told her he had insurance and called his mom to tell her to try to find it. As to whether he really was or not, I have no idea as I wasn't there. Well, she didn't think to ask him at least for the insurance company name. I've got a picture of his driver's license, vehicle make/model, and license plate and was wondering if with that one of you guys could help me determine his insurance company. My insurance said they couldn't really do anything without the name of his company since the repair cost is lower than our deductible ($500 deductible, $493 repair cost). The kid was responding to our text's about paying us with a check out of pocket so his insurance wouldn't go up but he stopped responding. Guessing his parents told him to just not do anything and the problem would just go away. But we're paying that $493 out of pocket and if I can manage to get that covered by his insurance, that would be nice. So if any of you guys can provide me with any sort of assistance I'd appreciate it! I'm not even sure if this is possible but I figured with what I've seen on here, it's worth a shot. Please don't lecture me on what should have been done at the scene of the accident as I was not there and my wife is not exactly a confrontational person. Lesson learned for her but if someone could provide help, I'd appreciate it!
