What I'm hearing you say is that you want some decent power, but that's not the main objective. The 10's do get a bad rap, but they're still a very valid car and can produce good numbers with a few mods. The '10 GT500 will still scoot.
Another thing to think about... if you go with a '13, it's going to be another year. That's a year lost of your shows, enjoying a high HP car, and who knows what tomorrow brings.
Personally, I'd opt for saving the cash and go '10, but I'm more fiscally conservative than most. I'd also not worry about changing out too much to from the '13 body style (tails and maybe grill I get). I've toyed with Grabber Blue stripes since the day I took delivery, but never acted on it. It is a good looking combo.
