New and improved with 410's

Well i decided I needed a bit more kick in the pants, so I had FR 410's put in today. WOW it has totally changed the composure of the car. Can't wait to break them in...should have done this awhile ago.

Sweet man, gears help wake these cars up so much. I had 3.73's in my solid but dropped to 3.55's in the IRS. Time for 4.10's...

Ken, did you swap out the speedo gear, or get a electronic adapter?

I would guess the speedo gear since they are cheaper and easier to intall..

4.10, is perfect for that car..i had a 98 cobra and thats what i had. First gear isnt the greatest on street tires. second and third is where its at.

Gear swap since its a 97 and its still mechanical.

Reason I ask is when I went to 3.90s, I had an Electronic Ratio Adapter installed, and now whenever my speedo goes over 100 at the track, it falls to 0. I don't know if it's the ERA or a bad speedo head. I can't say it started when the ERA was installed, because I didn't start noticing it till a year or so later, when I started tracking the car.

Ive thought about getting 4:10's and rolling out on people on the highway.
