From the look of the pictures they look to be 2 pistons calipers.

I agree...but what is the purpose of upgrading from the stock 2 piston kit to this one?

They are 2 piston, but they are huge compred to the stock cobra brakes, including the pads. This Baer kit out-stop's the stock Cobra brake kit easily.

IIRC these use the exact same PBR caliper that comes OEM on the Cobra..but may be wrong. Looks like it in the pics too though.
