Went to the track today and ran my best time to date. I ran a 12.52 at 113 with a 1.973 60' time on stock F1's.

My mods are CAI,Borla Stingers, and Tri-AX. I think my next mod will be a SCT tune to see how fast I can go with the stock pulley. Who knows with a better tire and tune 11's maybe within reach....

Peace

With Nitto's, your 60' should drop to 1.75, so in the end it should be around 0.4 sec improuvement on the 1/4. Around 12.1 and with a good tune, you should be very close to the 11's. Good Luck

How do you pull 60' like that on the stock tires? Also what RPM do you guys shift at?

I slip the clutch around 2500 rpm on launch. My shift points are 6500 in 1st, 6200 the rest of the way.:)

I thought they made max power around 6000?

I looked at my stock dyno chart and the car is still making well over 360 HP at 6500 RPMs. It's peaking between 6000 and 6500. You don't want to shift right at the peak if you are still making good power past that point.

Shifting at 6500 in first gear, for example, might put you somewhere around 4500 RPMs in second gear after the shift which is right around 300 HP.

Shifting at 6200 in first gear might put you somewhere around 4000 RPMs in second gear after the shift which is around 275 HP.

I'm just guessing the RPMs after each shift, but the higher the RPM you shift at will put you higher in the powerband for the next gear.

My Cobra makes more power at 6,000 rpm than at
6,500 rpm. However, when I go to the track, the car
pulls harder at 6,500 than 6,000. So I go with the
track time rather than the dyno results.
