That's amazing! 254 miles, I would get to work in a min. That would be awesome! Can't imagine the damn launch!

That GT-R was MOVING!!!

Edit: Aren't the GT-R's gear limited to how fast they can go?

I think he meant record for a GT-R...

and the Ford Gt record is 283

but I am still impressed by the GTR

The PPR Ford GT that ran 283mph needs to participate in an event NOT run by owner of PPR (Mojave Mile, Texas Mile, etc). When he does that and runs what he said he ran, then I'll believe his number. Until then, I believe the Hennessey Ford GT that ran 267.6mph is the fastest so far.

They are reving it well over 8.5k rpm... OEM redline is 7k

-Car is running standard gear ratios. No taller gearing.
-This is a customer owned and driven Goliath (no shop ringer here), on 20" R888s. Race gas only, no ethanol.
-Full interior other than race seats and seat belts.
-Switzer had to use Syvecs to tune very specifically around the clutches because they were slipping during gear changes due to being overpowered. Based on the data they acquired from the runs, if the clutches would have held properly, this car would've also broken the GT-R and Lambo E.T. records.
-This car's same 3.8 engine has now completed 4 Moscow Unlimiteds, including the (6) 245+ mph runs it made today, and is still running strong.

Is the record still held by a TT Ford GT at like 254?

Ford GT still hold the record at 267.6mph while still banging through the gears.
Wonder what it could do with a full auto? 275-280?

Pretty impressive on behalf on the GTR. Looked like a crazy ride.

Note that the car in this video is down by 400whp on the Ford GT at full power and only ran at 75% of max boost.

No one is going to touch the Ford GT record for a while and that was not the intent of the GT-Rs at this event. The point is to get the fastest standing mile ET. The car in this video while doing that speed did not do the fastest ET at the event, but it was done by an Alpha 12 GT-R that topped out at 238mph and did that in 22 seconds.
