Ran the car yesterday. Had a strong headwind. Made 3 passes.
1st pass new PB. 7.86 1/8 and 12.17 1/4
2nd pass 7.86 1/8 and 12.25 1/4
3rd pass 7.88 1/8 and 12.30 1/4
Vey pleased but on the 2nd and 3rd pass it felt like something was pulling the car back. Don't know if it was the wind or if the clutch was trying to slip. I don't know if this had anything to do with it but i put about 2 gallons of 101 race fuel in before i got to the strip:shrug:

Mods and what tires were these passes on?

3.73 gear-hushpower mufflers and 275/40/17 drag radials. I had stated that the car felt like it was surging in the top of 3rd and all of fourth. The 1/8 mile time was the same but it fell off in the 1/4. I think it was running out if gas. I always run my cars low on fuel trying to save weight. My gas light was on. Going back to the track this weekend and try again.

nice passes. I would think running WOT with the gas light on isn't a good idea. Like you said, maybe it was running out of fuel. What were your trap speeds?

1/8 mile was 93. 1/4 was 113 but i was having to go to 5th and like i said the car was surging real bad. I have went 117 in the 1/4 but that was with the 3.31 gear.

Cobra's have the same problem with surging, if you run the gas tank
too low and that can damage the engine, I believe.
My best run came from a full tank of gas!
