Which would you get for the rear and why.

I asked on corral but only got two replies and wanted more input..ordering today so any more suggestions would be nice. (both on corral suggested 255/40's)

Thanks in advace

They would slightly bulge but would fit fine, wouldn't be much of a difference in looks though.

Welcome to the board.

I'd go with the 255 45 's to add a touch of width. This will also add a touch of outside diameter to the rear tires, which in turn will make your speedo be off slightly.

Welcome aboard
When I installed my Michelin XGT-Z4's they were about an inch wider than the BFG's that came on it. They were the exact same size, both (245/45 17's).
I think they look better when the tire is a little wider than the wheel.

Thanks guys for the warm welcome.

TLUSH, I know what you mean about the BF's and XGT's. When I got my car, it had the BF's in the rear and I did notice that the XGT's slightly bulge out from the wheel and it looks really good.

I am waiting for my UPS shipment, shud get them today or tomorrow.

I have the 255/45's kumho's on my car. I believe they are original equipment as far as size goes.

I got my first tire yesterday, should be expecting my second one
today when I get home. Those tires look badass so far, does look bulkier then the 245/45's, very noticeable. I am so excited. They go on this weekend.

Just got the 255's on this morning at TirePlus. They look real nice, I will probably be doing 255's all around now.

It does seem to pick up the slack for the wheel well but I was wondering if and when I get spacers, which size to get. I don't want it to stick out considerable but just enough to give it that edgy and muscle car look.

Thanks

All my contact info is listed at the bottom of my post.

Sounds like maybe a typo. The 245 45's have been standard on the 17's since 94 to the best of my knowledge. It may be a typo or it may be that the 245's came in, in 95 after the 95R started using them. Either way it's no biggie.

Just went to your website to get an outlook address to attach a pic, you should have mail.

I have often wondered about the difference in tire sizes that I have seen. Anybody know the sizes for different years from 94-98, for stock out of the factory cars?

Hmm, I've always thought the 94's came with 255's and 95's were 245's. And they were GSC's.

Nope, the recognition guide is correct. The '94's & '95's were stock 255's.
