I have an '01 Cobra that is still very much stock except for some modifications I've done to the IRS to reduce wheelhop. I would really like to race Stock in an NHRA national event. The rulebook is somewhat vaque in regards to modifications to the rear suspension. My question is can I replace the IRS with a solid axle and still race Stock? Also, what about needing a SFI approved flywheel shield? I have the stock Tremec 3550 and I think the bellhousing is cast with the tranny and can't be replaced. If I need to change out the tranny to a TKO 500/600 I think their are more options available. Thanks to anyone who can give me some advice.
