Anybody running a GT500 in NHRA events? If so what class? From what I can tell, it appears a coupe doesn't qualify for any of the Stock classes, but it does fall into Super Stock B (which looks to be extremely competitive in the low 9's). I'm pretty new to the drag race scene and just trying to figure out what classes I could potentially run in and what the car would need to run to be competitive. Thanks for any info.

You'd probably need to switch to an auto trans in order to be able to run consistent times.

The '08 and '10 factory cobra jet cars with TVS blowers are running A/S, AA/S, or B/S with sticks and correspondingly A/SA, AA/SA, or B/SA with automatics depending on weight of car. Be prepared to spend a lot of money to take a GT500 coupe to this level and be competitive--weight reduction, right combo of parts, suspension, tuning and good driving. You would be better off just buying a factory race car and then a lot of knowledge to get it class competitive.
