Nitto NT05R discountinued?

Hi everyone!

I no longer see the NT05R on the Nitto site. Have they been discontinued? I like the look and grip of the 275s NT05R on my stock 17x9s. Only one size available in the NT555R now (315/35/17). More choice in the NT555R2, but I understand that they grip less than the 555R. That's right?

Several vendors still have the NT05Rs. Is it only until they run out of stock?

Anyone have any information on this?

The 555R2's are the updated version of the 555R's. I'm surprised there are any left actually. But everything I've read says the R2 performs better than the old R.

You might be thinking of the 555 G2 which is the regular street tire. And yes, they grip a lot less than the drag radials.
