NITTO'S 315-40 -17 , DO THEY SLOW YOUR MPH IN THE 1/4 MILE?

??? A chip will raise your mph by adding hp and fixing your a/f ratio with the smaller pulley. if i were you with that pulley i would order a chip tommorrow. nittos come in 315/35/17 only

Maybe my car's your evil twin. If I run on my Nitto's I get quicker E/T's @ slower mph than the F-1's. I've tried again and again but the D/Rs' consistantly get me slower mph, I'll not complain about a quicker E/T though.

Thats how it works when you run on street tires vs a sticky tire. The reason you are running less mph, is because you are putting hp to the ground, rather than spinning off hp through wheel spin. Street tires spin resulting in more speed, but slower times due to slower forward momentum.
