No More Oily Filter!

I hate having a "oil type" air filter,
my Mass air flow sensor isn't a fan of oil either

so I swapped it out for a dry one.

go to Lowes get a $6 black rubber made trash can, and fab up a heat shield for the filter assembly.

takes about 30 minutes of cutting and trimming.

I have the one from the C&L , just have not put it back on yet.
I haven't decided if I want to pipe the end of the shaker tube to it or not...

No, that is when the secondary runners in the intake manifold open up.

I will have to see what they have at Home Depot , that is exactly what I was planning on doing, except that one looks even better than I thought it would turn out.

Try McMaster.com (McMaster-Carr). You can get some nice Aluminum tubing and then slash-cut it at the angle and grab a silicon coupler and some T-bolt clamps from Jegs or Summit Racing to top it off.

Bottom part of the filter. Used the tubing that came with the shaker kit and attached it to the shaker with a $4 rubber toilet flange from Lowe's.
