What is normal fuel pressure on a 96 cobra? I'm under the impression its around 40psi. I have a full sweep electronic fuel pressure gauge and its only reading between 12 and 22 psi. I'm a little concerned. let meknow what you think.

It should be 39 with the vacuum disconnected. I'm not sure where to disconnect it from on the stock setup. With the vacuum connected, the idle fuel pressure is dependent on how much vacuum the car is pulling.
check with a mechanical gauge, 39psi with no vacuum on fpr, usually 29 @ idle with line connected. no gauge use a scanner and check stft and ltft they will be adding fuel through the injectors to compensate for low fuel pressure
Where is the vacuum line I keep hearing about to disconnect?
On the fuel pressure regulator.
