The GT 350/R's are fantastic to drive! I drove the GT 350, and the R with the CF wheels and other misc. exhaust differences equates to a ~160# reduction over the standad 350. It is reported that the R's are 5 seconds faster at Lime Rock, a huge difference. The power feels on par to a Boss with LT's, Exhaust, intake, and a tune. Should be a high 11 to low 12 second car at the strip for the standard 350 on street tires. Redline is 8250, and the car pulls straight to the limit. And then to the chassis! The IRS is great when transitioning over rough terrain, the tires have all the grip in the world! Car feels like a dedicated track car with slicks. The Brakes are quite possiblly the best thing on this car! No fade, and instant on. The exhaust will be an immediate market for upgrades: The headers are beautiful, BUT have kinks all over them, and the cats are tightened at the welds. IMO, a 3 inch system and high flow cats will add equivalent as the Boss / Coyotte gained. I am hopeful that the tuners will gain 500+ RPM with the car, and 35-40 WHP. The Ford Performance team is a world class group! Very easy to talk with and exciting to see the direction Ford is heading! ONLY draw back: We did not have an opportunity to order a car at the event....... Would have sold 50 of them today alone. Great time and got to see and hook up with some great people! Mike
