What a great day! Sharon & I met the group at Sears Point, there were over 30 in all, 20 Mustangs of various models, all them fairly recent . There were no vintage models, yet, that is. Many of them will soon be great collectables. Additionally there were 7 or 8 Brand Xs, including 5 late model Corvettes as well as 6 motorcycles. After meeting many others and talking cars we left for an easy caravan up highway 116 to Petaluma for a fuel stop, good thing too, my Whipple equipped motor runs a lot of gas through the 32 valves. We decided to be last just in case my F-150 couldn't keep up on the winding 2 lane highway 1 to Sausalito. Much to my surprise the Ridetech air suspension and 4 link rear end allows it to handle extremely well for a 5k pound truck. Didn't have any trouble staying on the pace. Once at Sausalito we enjoyed lunch at the Outback Steakhouse with more conversation about all things Blue Oval. We're looking forward to the next event. Thanks to those who put it together and to the motorcyclists who kept leap-frogging ahead and holding traffic at Stop signs while we cruised through like a parade.
