notchy shifter?

well, i did the counterweight removal mod and now the shifter feels notchy, especially when engaging 5th, feels like stirring a pot full of stones...

any suggestions on improving the shift feel? my "getrag" is harded to stir than my brother's "GM sourced" Saab 5 spd.... :kaboom:

Put the counterweight back on haha. I took it off for like a hour and put it right back on its there to make your shifting smoother

actually i just got back from murray's auto parts, they were able to match a rubber bushing and a steel insert to go with it, the steel insert i got from some wrangler suspension bushing, its just longer so i need to have it cut to spec...im gonna install it in a bit, hope it works...

how about the short throw shifter? u think that improves the feel?

I love my STS idk I cant remember how stock is haha. I know Im glad I got a STS though

shift feel aside, the car definetly needs a short throw, u see how long the stick is stock ??? feels like a stick ranger lol, also very noticeable when u change gears, it takes it a while and u lose a few hundred revs in the process
