Number of years for R model?

I don't remember anything formal but what is the consensus on years of production for the R? I sense an openning with my wife and I'm not one to pay over MSRP so I want to know what kind of sales pitch I need for her. Might have to wait for the secondary market in a couple years.

They will probably be made until the GT350 is out of production as was the Boss LS. How many years the GT350 will be in production remains to be seen
