Hi y'all, been a lurker on this forum for a few years and decided to finally join. I have a 2014 base GT model w/ mt-82.
Current mods on car are boss intake, steeda CAI, BBK long tube headers and OR x pipe, tune by hypermotive.
I have been reading about using the gen2 short block with 13-14 timing components and what else need to be done to make it work.(I will be using stock heads and cams) I've never seemed to be able to get really clear answers on it even from Ford Racing who I called about it, so just decided to go for it and be the guinea pig lol. I start teardown Sunday most likely.
Anyways here is list of mods to be done to car in next few weeks:
Aluminator short block 9.5 compression
Tremec t56 magnum 2.97 first gear
McLeod RXT clutch
McLeod billet flywheel
DSS aluminum driveshaft
Trickflow valve springs
Stainless works headers and OR x pipe
JPC triple pump hat w/ 3 walbro 465 pumps return fuel system
JPC fuel rails
ID1300 injectors
Fluidyne aluminum radiator
ARP head studs
Beefcake special paxton2200sl
E85
Tune by Lund Racing
Anyways I'm super pumped but also afraid something will not go right lol. Will provide pics along the way also
