I actually always read Fascism was right wing on the political spectrum, then I did some reading. Wikipedia say right wing, take that for what it's worth. After doing alot more reading, I think that trying to attribute fascism as left vs right does not necessary fit the Left to Right model. I would argue that it essentially sits outside the model and eschews major tenets of both capitalism and communism/socialism.

Far Left is total dictatorship. Right is is no government at all. No way in hell Fascism, Socialism, Communism, etc. could ever possibly be Right wing, because they are always ruled by a Police State, driven by a dictator or Oligarchy. They are the exact opposite of Right wing.

Nazis were socialists

Then they were later called fascists which was essentially state owned capitalism with an iron boot to enforce it.

Socialism is when the state owns and controls all means of production, ergo the Nazis (self proclaimed socialists) were left wing nut jobs.

The left just throws Nazism in to the mix whenever there's an inkling of race relations or anything to do with the policing of people and/or the military.

The people that are loudest against fascism are the ones advocating for taking guns away, anti 1A, the changing of words and their meaning, and altering history (by literally burning books) to meet their current narrative; and they're doing so violently. Ironically, these are some of the most fascist things people can do

Some of these views of left vs right are pretty accurate but there's a ton of gray area.

I always oversimplified it as "who should pay for stuff?"
100% The individual = extreme right
100% the state = extreme left
